Auguries (2008-2010)
“Auguries” is a series that uses the interplay of form and void to explore concepts of life and death. It centers around images from nature, portrayed in a style inspired by graphic design and graffiti art as well as classical painting. The subject matter is serious, but the pieces also convey a certain dark humour, for death may not only be grim and frightening, but also funny and complex and even beautiful.
